The Arcaz Antiques Gallery is situated in Whaley Bridge, gateway to the beautiful Peak District National Park in Derbyshire. As an antique shop it offers pieces only of the highest quality, but crucially it also acts as an antique centre for a number of specialist antique dealers. Uniquely, each antique dealer's pieces - genuine fine antiques and collectables - are mixed with each other into eleven different room sets, over two floors.
Victorian furniture, Georgian furniture and Arts and Crafts pieces are placed together. In fact this approach covers pieces from the early sixteenth century onwards. Surprisingly some bespoke contemporary pieces are also mixed in to show how individual pieces, antique or otherwise can be juxtaposed providing they are of similarly high quality. This gives Arcaz Antiques the ability to show how different antiques might work in a real home environment. This antique gallery approach has a clutter-free feel. The smaller antique collectables, such as Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian antique boxes, silverware, glassware and chinese porcelain and pottery are displayed in brightly lit cabinets alongside the room settings. We always hold a gallery of fine antiques and art in the Arcaz Antiques shop and seek to feature fresh pieces, and indeed new dealers, on a regular basis.
